Construction timesheets for subcontractors

Timesheets are where a subcontractor's labour cost is decided. SubbieSure captures hours against the project and the shift that was scheduled, so payroll is not rebuilt from memory every week.

Why are construction timesheets different from office timesheets?

Construction hours land across multiple projects, shift patterns, allowances and site conditions in a single day. A worker may be on one job in the morning and another after lunch, with travel between them. A generic timesheet tool records hours; it does not connect them to the project, the shift the worker was rostered to, or the cost code the job is measured against.

How do SubbieSure timesheets work?

SubbieSure includes timesheets as part of the workforce side of the platform, next to rostering, personnel records, licences and competencies. Hours are entered against the project the worker is on, from the web or the mobile apps, and the mobile apps work offline and sync when coverage returns.

Can the crew enter their own hours?

Yes. Site teams can record their own hours from a phone rather than the supervisor collecting paper at the end of the week. That reduces the lag between the work and the record, which is where most payroll queries come from: hours remembered rather than recorded on the day.

How do timesheets connect to scheduling?

Because rostering and timesheets sit on the same platform, the scheduled shift and the hours recorded can be compared. A worker who was rostered to one project and recorded hours against another is visible rather than discovered at invoicing. That link is the main reason to keep timesheets in the same system as the roster.

Does SubbieSure handle labour cost reporting?

SubbieSure provides reporting and dashboards across projects, people and workforce data, with role-based access so people see the part of the business relevant to them. Confirm the specific payroll, award interpretation and accounting integration requirements your business has in a demo; do not assume an integration exists because a category of software usually offers one.

Can timesheets be exported to payroll?

Bring your payroll process to a demo and we will show how hours leave the platform and what your bookkeeper receives. Subcontractor payroll varies widely by state, by award and by whether workers are employees or subcontractors, so the right answer depends on your setup.
