SWMS app for Australian subcontractors

A Safe Work Method Statement is only useful if the crew reads the current version and signs it before the work starts. SubbieSure keeps each SWMS beside the project it belongs to, on the phone in a worker's hand.

What is a SWMS app?

A SWMS app replaces the paper Safe Work Method Statement with a digital version that lives against the project. Each statement carries its high-risk construction work, the hazards, risk ratings and control measures, and the workers who signed on to it. Because it is issued per project, the crew opening it on site sees the current statement rather than a laminated copy from an earlier version of the job.

How does digital SWMS signing work on site?

Statements are issued to a project and signed from any device. Workers open the statement, review the hazards and controls, and sign; the record captures who signed and when. On sites with patchy coverage the mobile apps work offline and sync when a connection returns, so a signature is not lost because the shed has no signal.

Can SWMS sign-off be enforced before work starts?

Yes. Sign-off can be enforced at prestart, so workers sign on against the current SWMS and toolbox talk before starting work. Attendance is recorded against the statement and the talk, which keeps the record complete instead of relying on a paper sheet that may never make it back to the office.

Does SubbieSure include a SWMS builder?

Yes. SubbieSure includes a Work Method Statement builder for creating and issuing statements, so a new job type does not mean starting from a blank page every time. Statements can be reviewed before issue rather than assembled on site under time pressure.

How does a SWMS connect to the rest of the job?

The statement sits beside projects, scheduling, people records and site forms. When a hazard is reported or an incident is logged, it can become an investigation with stages and follow-ups, and corrective actions are tracked to closure. That means the safety record for a job is in one place when a client, auditor or regulator asks for it.

What does a SWMS not do?

A SWMS does not make a workplace safe on its own, and software does not replace competent supervision, consultation with workers, or site-specific risk assessment. Requirements differ by state and territory and by the type of high-risk construction work. Have your templates reviewed against the requirements that apply to your work.

Can I use my own SWMS templates?

SubbieSure supports custom forms and registers, so your existing statement format can be carried across rather than abandoned. Bring a current statement to a demo and we will show how it maps to the platform before you commit.
